She does the strangest thing...

Elizabeth that is. She has gotten into a strange stage... well has been in a strange stage. First for some time now she has to have a 'wipey', aka a baby wipe, all the time, even at night. She wants one for bed. Sometimes she will clean things but a lot of the time she just holds it. I don't know if that means she wants to be clean or if that means that we use wipes too much. Either way it looks like a wipe is now her security blanket... lol. The other stage is not so funny or cute! It is a stage that we have seen over and over again and frankly are a little tired of, literally. It is waking up at 1 or 2 am in the morning and not wanting to go to sleep. Now this has been Libby's MO... why I am ever shocked is beyond me. Ever since my sweet little child has been a baby she has been a horrible sleeper. 2 1/2 years later we thought we were out of the woods but Libby still has some tricks up her sleeve so if you see me or Jim and we look tired, it was probably a bad night with Miss Elizabeth.
The other day I was talking to someone about babies and they asked me if I missed having one around or wanted another and I said 'no, I still have a child that doesn't sleep through the night why would I want another'. Either way I still love my girl, just a little more at 2 am on a Tuesday night and we have work in the morning.
Elizabeth is growing up in so many other ways! She is talking so much although I think I am the official Libby interpreter, sometimes she talks a little fast and runs her words together and it sounds Greek. I love it when she makes 2 words into one. Like, grandma-grandpa-they are not 2 people they are one. Another favorite, Yes-No, I just love when she tells me yesno. lol The life of a 2 year old.
She does so many sweet things, like always wanting to be your helper, or being your 'doctor' to make you feel all better, or saying 'God our Father' prayer before bed, she says Amamen instead of Amen, or saying 'I Love you' with out someone saying it first.
Well now it is time to go put my sweet non-sleeping, wipe carrying, greek speaking 2 year old to bed and Allison too of course.
Happy Thanksgiving!
